Fade To Black的歌曲赏析
歌曲的开头是节奏吉他手James Hetfield弹的一段木吉他优美的旋律，在优美略带忧伤中响起。整个前奏james一直在为主音吉他手kirk hammett伴奏。这段哀伤的前奏隐喻着一个有自杀企图的患者所处的社会和精神环境。一切都是那么悲哀，那么了无希望，让人处于深深的痛苦境地中，之后的歌词是绝对的悲观主义，充斥着厌世和轻生的念头。这段唱完便是一段强劲的电吉他失真节奏铮铮想起，充分体现了自杀者内心交织着的狂乱不安，扭曲的灵魂仿佛就要从行尸走肉中破壳而出！这里的节奏是前奏中节奏乐句的一个变奏。接着歌声又响起，自杀者已经失去了自我，精神上愈加痛苦，无法自拔。从前的苦难历历在目，深深地刺痛了他的每一根神经。他根本无法去面对这一切!在一翻水深火热的狂乱中，患者终于彻底“觉悟”了-----No one but me can save myself,Death greets me warm, now I will just say goodbye（除了我 没有人能拯救我 但一切都太迟了。死亡在向我发出温暖的问候 我只想说声:永别了）。是最好的例证！在一翻猛烈地节奏吉他声中，hammett开始了他的独奏(也是本曲的尾奏)，这是这一切精神灾难的总爆发。快速激烈的solo，撕心裂肺的节奏，带着患者生前一切的往事回忆，像暴雨一样倾盆而下！
